Château de Larroque-Toirac
Clinging to a high cliff overlooking the village and the Lot valley, in a particularly good defensive position, Larroque Toirac castle, which was captured several times by the English during the Hundred Years' War, has kept its complete defensive system in the mediaeval part of the building.
The lord's apartments, in which the original kitchen still exists, boasts some very fine fireplaces and some 16th C. frescoes.
The caves in the cliff behind the castle shelter the remains of very ancient troglodytic living quarters. The favourable aspect of the site explains the presence of numerous exotic plants in the gardens.
