What to do

On the ground, a multitude of paths invite you to walk, ride, cycle to the very heart of nature and discover its secrets. For the adepts of climbing there are challenging rock faces. Under ground the water has hollowed out galleries, caves and grottos, to discover them is the privilege of the pot-holers. Seen from the sky, the earth is an exceptional vision for the lovers of (very) strong sensations, such as hang gliding and gliding. The water, quiet and calming is a paradise for the fisherman and a pleasure whether you swim or take a river trip. The water with its swirling currents is perfect for canoes and kayaks. All water sports can be enjoyed.

Earth and water

Earth and water, two worlds which share the open spaces of the Pays de Figeac. Two worlds of sensations, discoveries, exploration, adventure. Two worlds now calming, now stimulating, easy to attain or worth the extra effort. Two worlds to see, listen to, smell, touch.

Arts & Culture

Due to its exceptional architectural heritage, Figeac is part of France’s network of “Towns of Art and History”. Nearby in Marcilhac the magnificient ruins of the former abbey tell of the importance of the town in the 11th century. All over th countryside, castles and mansions, nestling in the landscape, bear witness to the times they have lived through.
