A wonderful panorama over the Auvergne mountains is not the only reason to stop in Saint Jean Mirabel
The history of the village reflects that of the region. The 13th century church, Saint Jean Baptiste, which belonged to the abbey of Conques, is today concealed by the enlargements of the 19th century, with the exception of a weathered tympanum placed under the entrance arch. The 18th century houses around the church have been carefully renovated.
